Tom Cruise Should Take a Break

In June Tom and his wife of five years Katie Holmes filed for divorce. Admitting that he was 'deeply saddened' by her choice, the actor seemed to be coping well. Tom Cruise's high-profile marriage to Katie Holmes is officially over, just a month and a half after the couple separated.
A New York judge signed off on the final judgement.

Holmes sensationally lodged the legal papers to end her five-year marriage in June, despite the couple's prior portrayal of themselves as the perfect Hollywood family.

It is not known how the couple's fortune, believed to be worth around $275 million, was divided.
While her own career is substantial, it is dwarfed by A-lister Cruise's huge success at the box office.
It is clear both Cruise and Holmes are already moving on with their lives.


However pictures of Tom from last month have now shown what the strain of the collapse of his marriage has had on him, as he had shed 14lbs.


Speaking to Grazia a source said: 'Tom's friends and family have urged him to take a break, but he has brushed off their concern'.

Jennifer Lopez is opening up for the first time in a new interview with ET's Mark Steines about her friends Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes' recent split.
Lopez, who from Marc Anthony, tells ET, "I'm sad for them. They're both really lovely people, and just like Marc and I, it's not what you want to happen. You fight and you try until you realize you can't anymore."

Sources close to Katie tell TMZ, that back in 2005 she had witnessed Tom's other kids participating in a Scientology ritual she found to be troubling and feared Tom would drag Suri through the same process.

The process is known as  "sec checking."  The participant holds electrode handles on a device called an e-meter and is then asked a series of personal questions that help the Church locate "areas of spiritual distress."


Several ex-Scientologists have come out against "sec checking," claiming it's a mild form of psychological terrorism designed, in part, to get children to report on their parents.

It is one of the reasons she broke from the Church and ultimately Tom.

Scientology Says Suri Cruise Is Underage

The Church of Scientology says nobody under the age of 16, including Suri Cruise, is allowed to join its elite Sea Organization. The minimum age requirement (16 years old), minors must have "consent of both parents and/or all legal guardians" in order to join. Reports TMZ.

Only way to save Suri was to file for divorce

Another reason for Katie Holmes' decision to file for divorce was that she was convinced Tom Cruise was going to send 6-year-old Suri away to a Scientology organization known as Sea Organization reveals  TMZ.

Sea Org, as it is known, is where the highest levels of Scientology are taught and kids as young as five can be sent to live there , without their TMz claims that Tom is a big fan.
According to the official Scientology website, members of Sea Org sign "a one-billion-year pledge to symbolize their eternal commitment to the religion and it is still signed by all members today."
Katie felt the only way to save Suri from being shipped off to Sea Org was to file for divorce and seek sole legal custody.

Hollywood’s perfect couple, Tom Cruise and his wife Katie Holmes had filed for divorce .The couple revealed they are divorcing on Friday. Cruise said he was ‘deeply saddened’ that his wife had filed for a separation. Kate is has filed for sole custody of the couple's daughter Suri.
She has asked for legal custody, primary residential custody and a 'suitable amount' of child support from her husband, TMZ reports. She is also asking for a division of property in the divorce documents. If their marriage had lasted more than 11 years, Holmes would have received half of Cruises’s reportedly $250 million fortune.
Cruise is supposed to have 'not seen' the divorce coming.
But sources persist that she did tell her husband that she was filing for divorce.
The pair has not been seen together in public for almost three months Katie failed to turn up to at any of the worldwide premieres of her husband’s latest film Rock of Ages.
Arguments seem to have been over where Cruise would spend his 50th birthday on Tuesday. Indeed, the sequence over his birthday followed another flow of upsetting pictures of him on the cover of W magazine.
The marriage has been in such poor shape that for the past year they have led almost entirely separate lives.
Miss Holmes has chosen to stay with Suri in Cruise’s New York apartment while he has traveled the world working. Close to her said that she felt he wasn’t putting any effort into her or the marriage.

A burglary occurred at a construction site that just happened to be on the same block as the VIP’s that included Holmes' sweet home, That provoked the cops to call in the big guns,  but by the time the SWAT team descended on the neighborhood, the perps had fled. Cops said that it's unclear how much was stolen or whether Tom and Katie were home at the time of the search.
